Data Base Capturing Device Will Help Stop Corruption In Nigeria – SFU
The Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU) has said the use of Data Base can help to put an end to the problem of corruption rocking Nigeria.
The Public Relations Officer of the Unit (PRO), Audu Lawal, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, stated this while speaking with newsmen at PSFU’s office in Lagos, pointing out that the use of data base in the country can prevent crime and corruption.
The intelligent and assertive former Embassy Liaison officer of the Unit said only sustainable efforts of the government can help tame the monster of corruption through data base.
Lawal said the Unit is known for pure professionalism, “we don’t condone half done jobs, and those cases brought before us are fraud and forgery cases with other related financial cases.
“We investigate with all sense of professionalism, we also prosecute our cases, and we don’t detain suspects more than necessary, while the investigation is going on.
Lawal warned the general public over visa procurement coming from other sourves than Embassy and High Commission, saying applicants applying for Schengen Visa should desist from patronizing unauthorized agents who produce unacceptable certificate or fake documents to procure visas for them.
He said, “It is illegal to patronize touts for visa, and when any document like, Health Insurance Certificate, Limited Liability Company Certificate, Tax Clearance Certificate, Duly Bank Statement and many more are used in supporting your application for procurement of visas that are fake, the Consular will send it to us for proper investigation .”
