UNIOSUN To Turn Out 89 First Class At 12th, 13th Convocation Ceremonies

Osun State University will turn out 89 First Class graduates at its 12th and 13th convocation ceremonies spanning from Friday September  22, 2023 to Thursday 28th, September, 2023 at the university main campus, Osogbo.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Odunayo Clement Adebooye who disclosed this during a press conference on the lined up programmes for the 12th and 13th convocation ceremonies of the institution at the Osogbo campus of the institution yesterday stated that out of the 4,210 graduating students, 1,326 came out with Second Class Upper Division, 1,818, Second Class Lower, 470, Third Class, while 5 students came out with Pass degrees out of the 3,959 First Degrees category.
He stated further that the university will also turn out 9 Postgraduate Diploma, 229 Masters degrees and 13 Doctoral Degrees while the convocation ceremonies were slated as follows: morning of Tuesday 26th September convocation for College of Humanities and Culture and afternoon, College of Management and Social Sciences and College of Law.
Others are: Wednesday morning, convocation for the College of Agriculture and College of Health Sciences, while it will be the turn of College of Science, Engineering & Technology in the afternoon.
The grand finale that would be presided over by Governor Ademola Adeleke will witness the convocation for the Postgraduate College for the award of higher degrees is slated for 12 noon of Thursday 28th, September, 2023.
Prof. Adebooye revealed other convocation package to include: Induction of Education graduates by Teachers’ Registration Council, Candido Da Rocha lecture, Induction of Building Technology graduates into NIoB, Foundation Day Lecture to be delivered by VC, FUTA, Akure, Prof. Adebisi Balogun among others
According to him, the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Sola Akinrinade will deliver the Convocation lecture at the grand finale that would witnessed by Chancellor of the institution Apostle (Dr) Folorunso Alakija and the new Pro-Chancellor, Prof. Wale Oladiipo.
