President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, on his birthday, November 6.

The President acknowledges the Minister’s service to the country and his role in advancing the administration’s efforts to revitalise Nigeria’s steel industry and expand its contribution to national development.

President Tinubu notes Prince Audu’s work in facilitating investment discussions and partnerships to strengthen domestic steel production, including ongoing efforts to revive the Ajaokuta Steel Complex and other strategic assets in the sector.

The President also recognises the Minister’s professional background in banking and finance, spanning over two decades in corporate and investment banking, asset management and venture capital.

Before his appointment to the Federal Executive Council in August 2023, Prince Audu held several senior positions at Stanbic IBTC Group, including Chief Executive Officer of its venture capital business. His professional experience also includes engagements with the Bank of New York Mellon in the United States and Credit Suisse in Switzerland.

A graduate of the University of Leicester, Prince Audu also holds a master’s degree from Henley Business School, University of Reading, and an MBA from the University of Oxford.
