Support The Needy, Bishop Oyejola Charges Nigerians
The Proprietor, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Hospital Osogbo, Most Rev. John Akinkunmi Oyejola has stressed the need for well meaning Nigerians to put smiles on the faces of the needy as service to God and humanity.
Oyejola who was represented by the head, Motherless Babies Home, Jaleyemi Hospital, Osogbo, Rev. Sister Mary Elizabeth Akinlotan at the presentation of gift items to the home by the Good Women, CAC, Oluwasogo, Glorious District, Osogbo expressed delight at the kind gesture.
The Osogbo Diocese Catholic Bishop disclosed that some of the children in the home are students of Primary, Secondary and tertiary institutions respectively adding that most of the children are being sponsored from the home and that they are doing exceptionally well in their studies.
Earlier, the Coordinator, Good Women, Glorious Arena Church, Mrs Adekemi Ajetunmobi pledged that the women wing of the CAC, Oluwasogo Glorious District will continue to support the Motherless Babies Home.
Speaking on the essence of the visit, Mrs. Ajetunmobi said donating the food items to the orphanage home is very crucial so that they can feel the purpose of Easter and also to extend a hand of fellowship to the babies and children to make them feel loved.
Also speaking, wife of the District Superintendent, Mrs. Caroline Awoyinka noted that it is part of the responsibility of the church to bring comfort the needy and win souls for Christ.
Highlights of the event included interaction with the children, singing of praises and a prayer session led by Mrs Awoyinka.
