Secondus Asks Akinwomi To Preside Over PDP NEC
National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, on Saturday directed the Deputy National Chairman (South), Yemi Akinwomi, to preside over the National Executive Committee meeting of the party in his stead.
In a letter to Akinwomi, Secondus said, “I hereby request you to preside over the National Executive Committee meeting of the Party, taking place today, 28th August, 2021@ 12 noon, in my absence.
The letter may not be in connection with another High Court ruling which barred Secondus from parading himself as National Chairman of the party.
A High Court in Calabar, Cross Rivers had on Friday restrains Secondus from acting as Chairman of the PDP, making the third after another High Court in Rivers State made similar pronouncement but he also got another High Court in Kebbi which directed him to remain as Chairman of the party.
