Ajimobi Wants Security Studies In Schools’ Curriculum

He observed that the security of lives and property of the state citizenry remained one of the key agenda of his administration, which he pursued vigorously through a special security task force he initiated code named “Operation Burst.”
Represented by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr. ‘Gbade Ojo, he said that it was in realization of this that his administration, upon inception, courted all the security agencies in the state and had been maintaining harmonious working relationship with them.
This, according to Ojo, paid off with the peace and tranquility, as well as the security of lives and property, currently reigning in the state, which used to be known for violence and brigandage before the advent of his government.

Ajimobi’s administration had been able to execute, all of which he said had changed the face of the state and improved its economy.
The don pointed out that security issue was a national phenomenon which should go beyond formal sector of providing gadgets for the government owned security agencies at the expense of the local security agencies like Vigilante Group which is an informal sector.
Ojo further stated that, Ajimobi has shown himself equal to the task, recalling that Ibadan was a hotbed of violence and insecurity.

He said the vision of Ajimobi’s administration was to turn things around
for better, in the interest of the generality of the people and to evolve a consistent socioeconomic development system that is free of apprehension.
“Ajimobi has shown himself equal to the task,” recalling how Ibadan was known for violence and insecurity, adding that the state has eased out of the vice grip of men of the underworld,” he added.
