Publish Names Of Three Million Nigerians On NAC List Agoro Tells Obasanjo
The national chairman and presidential aspirant of the National Action Council (NAC), Dr. Olapade Agoro at the weekend challenged former President Olusegun Obasanjo to publish the list of the three million Nigerians who have joined his coalition.
The politician while speaking with journalists at his Apata residence, Ibadan called on the former President to make publication before next week Tuesday.
Apparently reacting to a report that the Coalition for Nigeria Movement recently formed by the former president had so far register over three million members, Agoro declared that Chief Obasanjo was the main political problem presently facing Nigeria as a country.
The NAC’s national chairman specifically asked Chief Obasanjo to go home and rest and leave Nigeria alone having ruled Nigeria as a former Military Head of State and as well as the civilian President of Nigeria.
He maintained that it was only the few Nigerians that could not discern Chief Obasanjo’s antics to perpetually dominate the Nigerian politics that are buying into his newly formed, ”Coalition for Nigeria Movement.
“Obasanjo is the problem of Nigeria. He brought late Yar’Adua and failed; he also brought Jonathan and failed; he actively supported President Muhammadu Buhari, who has now disappointed Nigerians.”
“Obasanjo is out again to take Nigerians on a ride with the Coalition of Nigerian Muguns that he is packaging.
“He said he had gathered the list of three million Nigerians. I am challenging him to publish the list of the thrèe million Nigerians who have joined his coalition before next week Tuesday.” he said.
The NAC leader stressed that Chief Obasanjo rode to the top in his political career, but that, “it appears that his ride has no bus stop and brake. He does not know where to stop.
“Chief Obasanjo, after his presidency should have toed the path of honor, like late Nelson Mandela, by quitting partisan politics. Have you heard the immediate past President of the United States, Barack Obama, criticising his successor, Donald Trump, like Obasanjo has been doing since 1999,” Agoro fumed.
Agoro while describing both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as total failure and never mean well for Nigerians, said he decided to contest the 2019 presidential election to repair all the damages done to the country by both PDP and APC as well as move Nigeria forward politically and economically.
