Adeoti, Peter Babalola Withdraws From Osun APC Primary

Two prominent gubernatorial aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun  State, Alhaji Moshood Olalekan Adeoti and Dr. Peter Adebayo Babalola have formally withdrawn their participation from Friday’s governorship primary of the party.

Moshood Adeoti is the current Secretary to Osun state government while Dr. Peter Babalola was the Chief of Staff to Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola and currently the chairman, Local Government Service Commission

The withdrawal of Moshood Adeoti was contained in a statement issued and signed by the Director of Media and Publicity of Moshood Adeoti Campaign Organization (MACO) Mr Kayode Agbaje and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, the state capital.

According to him, Alhaji Adeoti’s decision to withdraw from the race is hinged on his resolve to abide by a resolution of the Osun West Senatorial District wing of the party dissociating itself from the exercise.

Alhaji Adeoti however informed his teeming supporters that he is still very much in the race to contest and win the governorship election come September 22, 2018.

Babalola in a telephone call said his decision to withdraw was because the process is already compromised.
