Kaduna To Shutdown Illegal Motor Parks

To boost its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), Kaduna State government said it would start closing down illegally operated motor parks across the state.

The Executive Chairman, Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), Dr. Zaid Abubakar, who stated this Saturday, in Kaduna, said KADIRS would enforce compliance with the provisions of the law and strengthen revenue collection mechanisms in the state.

Abubakar noted with dismay, the proliferation of illegal motor parks across the state, adding that the responsible agencies in charge of parks and transportation would begin to close down the parks by next week.

The chairman advised taxpayers on voluntary compliance with their tax obligation to enable government improve on security, provision of basic social services as well as execute viable development projects to improve the well being of the people.

According to him, the revenue agency will fully implement the state tax law to ensure that all businesses operating will pay the needed taxes to the state government.

“KADIRS will enforce compliance with the provisions of the law and strengthen revenue collection mechanisms in the state,” he said.
