Osun 2018:APC Lawmaker Dumps Party, Joins ADC
The All Progressive Congress(APC), has lost the lawmaker currently representing Odo Otin State Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon Olaoluwa Oyediran, to the African Democratic Congress(ADC).
Oyediran who defected to ADC at the weekend with his supporters in Okuku, Odo-Otin Local Government area of the state, decried the alleged degradation the people of the state had suffered in the hands of APC, the ruling party.
“APC has neglected and cheated the people of Osun without recourse to justice and equity. In this way, any right thinking individual or representative of the people, ought to uphold fairness which only African Democratic Congress(ADC), is ready to provide” said the Lawmaker
Welcoming the defectors, the ADC State Chairman, Alhaji Ajao Adelakin, declared that all members were equal and would always enjoy equal rights and privileges.
Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, the party’s candidate in the forthcoming September 22, election, disclosed that the party doors were open for all incorruptible and forward-looking individuals who are ready to move the people of the state out of the poverty and neglect they are currently suffering from.
“This is not propaganda, well meaning individuals who have genuine love of the state at heart, are joining ADC in droves as the new vehicle that will convey our people to a successful berth. This can only materialise when this is translated into voting on the election day” Akinbade noted.
He charged the people of the state to be wary of being entangled with money which could make them to vote for wrong people, noting that any mistake on their part, could translate to another eight years of suffering and misrule.
While calling for more aggressive membership drive, Akinbade charged them to embark on house-to-house campaigns so as to carry everybody along in the electoral struggle to emancipate the state and its people from the grip of those inching to plunge into another abyss of darkness
“Our new thinking should be directed towards genuine development and progress of the state and its people. We should move away from shortsightedness that had characterized our essence in the past. We should be forward-looking. The time is now with me on the ADC platform and our people solidly behind it” he added
