Osun 2018: Iwo Demand Governorship Ticket
The clamour for the emergence of the next governor of Osun State from Osun West senatorial district of Osun state was further strengthened Tuesday with the call for an Iwoland indegene to replace governor Rauf Aregbesola at Bola Ige House.

Recall that two former governors in the state, Chief Adebisi Akande and Prince Olagunsoye had insisted that for Justice and fair play, it is the turn of Osun West senatorial district to produce the next governor.
Expressing his interest for the plum job, at the secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osogbo, a prince of Iwoland, Dr. Amidu Tadese noted that Iwo deserve to be compensated with the seat of governor of Osun having being denied the opportunity since the creation of the state.
Tadese a technocrat and former member,  Osun State House of Assembly vowed to bring his experience as a grassroot politician and an erudite public administrator to bear through wealth creation, food security, eradication of poverty and enhancement of human dignity.
His words: “I will bring my training, experience and conviction to fruition in governance of Osun State and it is my desire to rescue Osun from under development”.
Tadese however promise to work with whosoever emerged as party candidate in the coming gubernatorial election saying that his aspiration to become the next governor of Osun is not a ‘do or die’ affair.
Responding, the chairman of PDP in Osun, Hon. Soji Adagunodo assured all gubernatorial aspirations of level playing ground in accordance with democratic principle PDP is known for.
According to him, if the party is unable to produce a conscientious candidate, it would conduct a transparent, free, fair, and credible gubernatorial primary in the state.
While describing Tadese as a competent aspirant who can add value to PDP by virtue of his experience as a grassroot politicians who had made positive impact on the development of Osun state, Adagunodo implored him to go back to base and work assiduously for the victory of Osun at the poll.
He enjoined party members to close rank, work on the aggrieved members and team up to achieve Victory for the Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming election.
