The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Nigeria climbed to 1095 on Friday as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed 114 new cases.

Eighty of the new cases were recorded in Lagos, pushing the total number of cases confirmed in Nigeria’s commercial capital to 657.

Twenty-one new cases were confirmed in Gombe and five in the capital city Abuja.

Two cases each were confirmed in Edo and Zamfara states while Ogun, Oyo, Kaduna and Sokoto states have one case each.
