Man Docked For Allegedly Destroying Neighbour’s Fence

 

A 37-year-old man, Yahya Muhammad was on Tuesday arraigned in an Upper Shari’a court in Tudun wada, Kaduna for allegedly destroying a fence attached to his neighbour’s shop.

Muhammad is charged with trespass and illegal destruction of property.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Jamilu Umar said that the case was first heard on Nov. 30, 2020 but was adjourned sine die.

He said that one Auwal Kura, a resident of Bakin Ruwa, Rigasa on Nov. 24, 2020 at about 11:300 a.m reported the matter to the Area Command Police station.

He said Kura went to his shop at Bakin Ruwa on Nov. 23 of same year at about 1:15 p.m and noticed that the fence between his shop and the defendant’s had been demolished.

Counsel to the defendant, Mr Muhammad Uwais, prayed the court to grant his client bail.

The Judge, Malam Muhammad Iliyasu, asked the prosecutor to produce its  witnesses.

The judge admitted the defendant to bail bond of N200,000 and adjourned  the case to Nov. 20 for the complainant to present his witnesses.
