While presenting this automatic mobility machine, Engr. Makinde said the donation was based on merit, enthusiasm and commitment to hard work by the beneficiary, who was adjudged to be worthy of such gift by all and sundry.
According to her, “I was so concerned about the mobility condition of Mr. Akande and I discussed it with my husband and he agreed to do something, that is why we got in touch with one or two persons that have access to this automatic mobility machine with the expectation of it being delivered within two weeks, but to my surprise, it was delivered within a week.
Mrs. Makinde also enjoined other physically-challenged individuals in the State service to be more dedicated and committed in their obligation for the progress of the State and be rest assured that more opportunities of such would be opened to all that deserve it.
While speaking, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Alhaja Faosat Joke Sanni said the gesture came as a surprise to her and appreciated the Governor and his wife for the gesture, urging people to emulate the kind disposition of the first family in Oyo State by replicating same in the society.
The beneficiary, Mr. Olubukola Akande, commended Oyo State Governor, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde and his Wife, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde for their love and care for those with special need, adding that he would forever be grateful for the kindness and be more dedicated to his work.
The beneficiary, Mr Dauda Adeagbo works with Ifeloju Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ogbooro, in Oke-Ogun area of the State.
