The new Oba –elect of Oriade Town in Osun State, Oba Olalekan Anthony Fasesin, Arolagbade 1, the Alade Okin of Oriade town, has promised to transform the town by attracting huge investments to the sleepy community.
Oba Anthony in a telephone interview with the glitters Online said that he intends to make the town attractive to foreign investors and Indigenes as well.
The suave and handsome Oba elect is very clear of his ambition and desire in transforming the town while equally uplifting, protecting and preserving the age-long culture of his people.
The youthful king, who is widely travelled across the globe by the virtue of his being a licensed pilot, but resident in United Kingdom until his royal assignment beckons, stated that it is a dream comes true for him to be unanimously elected without any rancor as characterized many Obaship tussle.
“I will turn the village to a city, which is my ultimate priority, I am planning with the mindset of someone who has lived half of his life in the western world and understands the benefits of upgrading rural communities for collective national development.
‘I know we need good roads, good hospitals and electricity, all these I will make sure I achieved in my first two years on the throne. There are institutions and organizations that I have brought to the town for ‘on the- site assessment’ in terms of the prospect of the town commercial viability and they were very impressed. The support of these bodies will make the actualisation of my aspirations to be speedy and realisable”.
The Oba elect who said all things been equal, the coronation may likely take place before the end of the second quarter, said: “We are looking at the month of June or July for the coronation ceremony.”
Oba Anthony gave credit to Ooni of Ife for the confidence reposed in him and approval of his Obaship of Oriade town. The Oba –elect said he would always be grateful to His Majesty, The Ooni of Ife Kingdom in his role and effort in developing Ife kingdom in general and Yoruba land in particular.
