Iwobi Will Be Involved Against Luton, Says Fulham Manager

Fulham manager Marco Silva has said that Alex Iwobi will be involved in the squad when they face Luton Town in their English Premier League game at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Iwobi earlier this week returned to training from the hamstring injury he sustained in former club, Everton’s 4-0 Premier League defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park last month.

He was thereafter substituted in the second half and Everton manager, Sean Dyche admitted Iwobi was likely to be on the sidelines for a period depending on the grade of the tear.

Dyche finally confirmed during another pre-match press conference that the Super Eagles winger would be missing in competitive football action for a few weeks due to the problem.

The Nigerian international missed out on Everton’s 1-0 Premier League loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers at Goodison Park before then joining Fulham on summer transfer deadline day.

Because of his injury, Iwobi missed Fulham’s 5-1 loss against Manchester City but stepped up his recovery during the international break which helped him make a return to training.

Iwobi could, however, get to make his competitive debut for Fulham in their Premier League game against newly-promoted Luton. “Alex Iwobi will be involved in the squad,” Silva said.
