The obsession of many youths with selfies is attracting the searchlight of the popular Glo-sponsored drama series, Professor Johnbull, in Season 2, Episode 3 airing this Tuesday.
The episode, featuring the delectable Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, as Chantel, satirises the abuse of mobile phones by a wide generality of people, especially the youths.
The show will delve into the various excesses of smart phones users, especially among the young ones, and make recommendations on how to cultivate healthy and safe habits with mobile phones.
The show sponsor, Globacom, in a statement said the new episode is entitled: “Selfie Stick,” to highlight the dangers inherent in the abuse of smart phones, social media platforms and related facilities by the young generation.
Globacom said in the statement: “Episode 3 of your darling TV Series Professor Johnbull, aptly tagged Selfie Stick is as didactic as it is humorous. It is one of our modest ways of stirring the conscience of our ever bubbling young generation to explore more the positive sides of the advancement the world has made in science and technology. Other stars to watch out for in this episode include the regulars like Kanayo O. Kanayo, Queen Nwokoye, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Mercy Johnson Okojie, Funky Mallam, Ime Okon, Bidemi Kosoko, Martins Neboh and Stephen Odimgbe.
