Fire Guts National Grid In Kebbi, Causing Power Outage
A fire outbreak has gutted the National grid station of the National Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) in Birnin, Kebbi.
The fire caused a loud explosion, which could be heard from several kilometres away, according to the report.
The explosion also caused a power outage in Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, and Niger states.
The spokesperson for the Kebbi State Police Command, Nafiu Abubakar, however, confirmed the incident to the press.
Abubakar said he did not have details of the incident at the time and referred to the TCN for more information on the possible causes of the fire.
