The Federal Government has recognized the exceptional skills of Mr. Enoch Tobiloba, an HND 2 Engineering student at Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), for his remarkable contribution to Nigeria’s automotive industry.

Tobiloba was rewarded with an electric vehicle by the Director-General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Joseph Osanipin, for emerging as the winner of a design challenge focused on creating a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) hybrid car.

The presentation ceremony, held in Abuja, was a significant acknowledgment of Tobiloba’s innovative design, which integrates both CNG and electricity to provide an environmentally friendly transportation solution.

The NADDC Director-General praised Tobiloba’s achievement and named him an Electric Vehicle (EV) Brand Ambassador, an honour that reflects his emerging role in advancing sustainable mobility in Nigeria.

“Today, we are proud to present this electric vehicle to Mr. Enoch Tobiloba, a promising young designer whose efforts symbolize the future of automotive technology in our country,” said Osanipin.

He added that the NADDC remains committed to nurturing young talents who contribute to the nation’s drive toward sustainable energy and innovation in the automotive sector.

Tobiloba’s achievement marks a proud moment for Yaba College of Technology, which continues to uphold its vision of nurturing exceptional talent and driving technological advancement in Nigeria.

The institution, known for producing industry-ready graduates, has reinforced its commitment to academic excellence and practical skills development, preparing students to be leaders in their respective fields.

Dr. Engr. Ibraheem Abdul, Rector of Yaba College of Technology, expressed delight at Tobiloba’s accomplishment, noting that it serves as a testament to the quality of education and training provided by the college.

“Our vision is to be a world-class institution that consistently delivers innovative solutions for societal growth. Enoch’s success is a step towards fulfilling this vision, and we will continue to support students who demonstrate a commitment to excellence,” said Abdul.

With this recognition, Tobiloba’s journey stands as an inspiration to many young Nigerians aspiring to make an impact in the field of engineering and technology. His electric vehicle award symbolizes the possibilities that await those who are committed to pushing boundaries and embracing innovation.
