FEC okays N20bn For Ikorodu – Shagamu Expressway
The Federal Executive Council, FEC, Wednesday approved N20 billion for the rehabilitation of Ikorodu – Shagamu expressway.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, disclosed this to State House correspondents at the end of the FEC meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Mohammed who stood in for the Minister of Power Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola said that the project will reduce accidents on the highway and lost of production time.
He also said that the project when completed will enhance movements of petroleum products and agricultural produce.
The Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika disclosed that the FEC also approved N4.233 billion for airport fire fighting equipment.
