Oyetola Drums Support For Famurewa, Others In Ijesaland
Osun State governor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, former governor Rauf Aregbesola and many chieftains of the All Progressives Congress APC stormed Ijesaland at the weekend to seek the support of electorate in Ijesaland for the election of Hon. Israel Ajibola Famurewa as the Senator representing Osun East Senatorial district.
Addressing thousands of people who thronged Ibokun Square in Obokun local government area of Osun venue of the rally organised to sell APC to electorate, Oyetola urges the people to come out in large number to cast their votes for all APC candidates in the area and across the country to move the nation to the next level.
Oyetola maintained that the All Progressives Congress is the only hope for better Nigeria adding that voting for APC translates to better tomorrow for the present day Nigerians and future generations.
Also speaking, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola who catalogued his achievements and those of President Muhammadu Buhari noted that apart from sustaining those achievements, there is the need for consolidation and continuity.
Earlier at a press conference addressed by Famurewa who is the Senatorial flag bearer of APC for Osun East Senatorial District, he promised to run an all-inclusive and transparent representation that will give all equal leverage to access the full complements of the National Assembly.
Famurewa who is currently representing Ilesa/Atakumosa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives said he would use the experience of the last eight years to buffer workable solutions confronting Nigeria and Nigerians in the area of law making and legislation.
“I shall sponsor bills and motions that will have direct impact on the socio-economic lives of our people in all the 10 LGAs that make up Ife – Ijesa Senatorial district. In doing this, I shall concentrate more on the following”.
According to him, he would focus Youth Employment, Engagement and Empowerment, Expansion of Vocational Institute to train the unemployed, provide Financial Grant for Traders, Farmers & Artisans, provide Scholarship & Bursary Grants for Students in Tertiary Institutions, provide Basic Social Amenities to Communities and organise Medical Outreach to all the LGAs in his district if elected
