Dapo Abiodun Promises To Provide Social Amenities In Ogun

Ogun State Governor, Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun has reiterated his commitment to providing social amenities including network roads, water and electricity to all the nooks and crannies of the state.

The Governor disclosed this, after he was sworn-in as the Governor of the state, held at the M.K.O. Abiola Stadium at Kuto in Abeokuta.

He explained that he would set up a committee to see to planning of the welfare of the people including civil servant in Ogun State and artisans.

According to him, all debts owed civil servant for the past eight years in the state would be settled adding that new projects would be embarked upon.

He stressed that the Federal Government presence would be felt by all and sundry of the state, pointing out that creation of industrial hub including power, housing and others would be priority.

The Governor noted Ogun State was richly endowed with solid mineral resources such as limestone and kaolin, gypsum, silica sand and tarsand, clay, granite stone and gravels, phosphate which are derived from the sedimentary rock which occupy roughly three quarters of the surface area of Ogun State while this these minerals are potential raw materials for industries and construction works.

He commended the efforts of Senator Ahmed Tinubu and the former Governor of the state, Aremo Olusegun Osoba for their unflinching support to all and sundry.
