Court Affirms Suspension Of PDP South East Vice Chairman, Odefa

The Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, has upheld the suspension of Chief Ali Odefa as the National Vice Chairman (South East) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Odefa was suspended on October 4, 2024, by the PDP Executive Committee at his Oguduokwor Ward in Onicha Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, over allegations of anti-party activities.

Delivering judgment in Suit No. FHC/AI/CS/182/2024 filed by Herbert Ovuta against Odefa, Justice Hillary Oshomah ruled that the suspension was valid and in line with the party’s constitution.

The court further ordered Chief Odefa to cease parading himself as the National Vice Chairman for the South East zone of the PDP.

This ruling marks a significant moment for the PDP in the region, reinforcing internal discipline and compliance with party regulations.
