Chinese Investors Are Ready To Invest In Taraba- Ishaku

Taraba state Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku has expressed optimism that the China business investment exhibition tour was an opportunity to wooing investors from other parts of the world, particularly China to come and develop the mining sector of the state.

Darius Ishaku said this while speaking to Government House Correspondents in an interview on arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, saying that, the only way to develop the mining potentials of the state is to reach out to countries that have the wherewithal to help develop the sector which China has readily indicated interest to partner with Taraba state Government.

The Governor who expressed satisfaction with the Taraba state contingent during the business exhibition, further added that the meneral endowment of the state is so enormous and that, there is the urgent need to develop the mining sector in the state in order to better the lives of people.

He revealed that the visit to China which he described as timely, provided him and his team the opportunity to interact with Chinese investors and industrialists and also intimated them on the availability of Timber in the state and equally discussed on how best to trade on Rosewood, popularly referred as madrid and its sustainability inorder to curb deforestation and promote afforestation which would be beneficial to the people of the state, the country and indeed the investors.

The Governor disclosed that the visit afforded him the opportunity to properly sensitised the investors at the event on the negative reports of insecurity in the North East and assured them that the atmosphere in Taraba state is peaceful and that their security is guaranteed whenever they are ready to do business in the state.

Darius Ishaku maintained that he will not relent in his effort to transform the state, positing that all available avenues would be explored to reposition the state developmentally.
