Chelsea Scout Osimhen In Napoli’s Defeat To Monza
Two officials from Chelsea were in attendance to watch Victor Osimhen in action for Serie A champions Napoli in Sunday’s game away to Monza.
This is according to Italian media outfit, Il Mattino.
The two members of the Chelsea scouting team were present at the game to monitor Osimhen who unfortunately failed to score as Napoli lost 2-0.
Osimhen has been attracting interest from some of Europe’s top clubs including Chelsea.
Other sides who the Blues will contend with for the signature of Osimhen include Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United.
Despite the interest for the Super Eagles striker, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has said he is looking to keep the Serie A top scorer.
Osimhen has scored 28 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions for Napoli this season.
His 23 goals helped Napoli win a first Serie A title since the 1989/1990 season.
Also, he is the highest African goal scorer in the Serie with 47 goals, after surpassing George Weah’s record.
