Boniface Named Bundesliga Rookie Of The Month For August
Bayer Leverkusen Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has been named Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for August.
Leverkusen announced Boniface as the winner on their X account (formerly Twitter) on Friday.
He marked his first month (August) in the Bundesliga with an assist and two goals.
In his debut league game for Leverkusen, he provided the assist for his team’s first goal in their 3-2 win against Leipzig.
The 22-year-old then scored two goals in a 3-0 win away to Borussia Monchengladbach.
He is in the running for the Bundesliga Player of the Month award for August.
Also, he is currently with the Super Eagles in Uyo ahead of Sunday’s final Group A 2023 AFCON qualifier against São Tomé and Principe.
