Group Urges Osun APC Delegates To Vote For Credible Candidates In State Congress
Chairman of The Osun Progressives (TOP), Reverend Adelowo Adebiyi, has urged all delegates of the All Progressives Congress in the Saturday’s State Congress of the party to turn out en-masse to elect new officers for the APC in Osun State.
Speaking at the general meeting of the caucus, Adebiyi said the delegates owed themselves and the goodness of all, the duty to ensure a new set of reliable, responsible and problem solving officers are elected on Saturday.
He contended that it was the only way by which a new lease of life could be guaranteed for APC and ensures its success in future electoral outings.
Recall that TOP a splinter group of the APC in Osun that are loyal to the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola had organised parallel congresses at Ward and local government levels in the ongoing efforts to have officers of the party in the state.
Adebiyi at the meeting said it is fundamental to have knowledgeable, disciplined, dispassionate persons with distinguished capacity to creatively manage human organisation at the helm of Osun APC affairs now.
The leader of TOP, who is the immediate past Chairman of APC, informed the gathering that the newly elected ward and local government officers will be sworn-in before the state congress holds on Saturday, thus urged all concerned to be present.
A minute silence was held for the deceased elected APC chairman of More/Ojaja ward in Ife East local government, Mr Makinde Olagunju who passed on two days ago with prayers held for the repose of his soul and the well being of those he left behind.
