Osun APC Inaugurates Local Government Chairmen
Osun State Caretaker chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prince Adegboyega Famodun has charged the newly sworn-in local government party chairmen across the 30 local government and Ife East Area office of the state to be alive to their responsibilities and galvanise support for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s re-election.
Famodun who spoke while administering oath of office on the chairmen at the state party secretariat, Ogo Oluwa, Osogbo on Monday directed the chairmen to do same for other elected officers in their respective local governments with a warning that they should adhere strictly to the list of officers handed over to them.
He urged the chairmen to live to the dictate of their oath of office and let the party’s constitution be their watchword and guard adding that they should be faithful to party members and respect all leaders of the party in their domain.
“We are in the election year, governorship election is less than a year and we need you to galvanise the party behind the governor and leaders of the party”,
Also, the chairman of Obokun local government, Prince Omoniyi Oluyide who spoke exclusively with our reporter expressed his determination to ensure that the APC dominate both governmental and political space of his local government.
According to him, he would consul elders on ways to move the party forward and carry along all members in decision making and implementation.
Oluyide expressed optimism that governor Adegboyega Oyetola will be returned for the second term in office following his landmark achievements in his first term in office.
