Barcelona Reach Agreement To Sign Szczesny
Barcelona have reached an agreement with Wojciech Szczesny to join the Blaugrana giants.
According to sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Szczesny is expected to replace Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, who suffered a long-term injury against the Yellow Submarine, Villarreal on Sunday – a tie that ended 5-1 in favour of Hansi Flick’s side.
The 34-year-old will put pen to paper on a one-year deal after a successful medical test
Szczesny had earlier on August 27 announced his retirement from professional football – some days after he had a mutual agreement with the Italian outfit, Juventus to terminate his contract.
The Blaugrana were also linked with other goalkeepers including Loris Karius, Keylor Navas, and Claudio Bravo, who was a former shot-stopper of the club and has also called it quit from the round leather game.
