Funke Akindele, Husband Arraigned In Court, Plead Guilty

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele and her Husband, AbdulRaheed Bello were on Monday arraigned before a Lagos court for allegedly violating the orders of the Lagos state government on social distancing due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Akindele and her husband who were both presents in Court pleaded guilty after the one-count charge was read to them.

The duo was arraigned before Magistrate Yewande Aje-Afunwa.

The magistrate then took a ten-minute break before giving her verdict.

Funke Akindele was arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force on Sunday, April 5, 2020, for organising a house party despite the lockdown order issued by the government.

policemen were reported to have arrived her residence at Amen Estate off Lekki-Epe Expressway in about three patrol vehicles.
