70-year-old Ex-Kogi Senator Ocheja Marries New Wife
A video from the wedding of former Kogi East Senator Emmanuel Dangana Ocheja and his new wife has surfaced online.
The white wedding, where the couple exchanged vows, was held in Abuja on September 19, 2026.
In the video shared on Monday by Film Journalist and Best of Nollywood Awards Chief Executive Officer, Seun Oloketuyi, Ocheja is seen dancing with his wife during the celebration.
The bride joins the former senator on the dance floor as guests watch and celebrate with the couple.
Ocheja, a lawyer and politician from Idah, Kogi State, represented Kogi East in the Senate between 2011 and 2015 under the Peoples Democratic Party.
He was a member of the 7th National Assembly and served on several committees, including Defence and Army, Appropriation, Gas, Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, and Privatisation.
Ocheja was born on April 3, 1956, according to biographical records.
He studied law at Ahmadu Bello University and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1982
He later joined the All Progressives Congress and remained active in Kogi politics.
The wedding video has since attracted reactions online as social media users comment on the former senator’s new marriage.
