Yabatech Holds Alumni Lecture Series
The foremost and Premier institution of Higher Education in Nigeria, Yaba College of Technology has instituted an annual Alumni Lecture Series, first of its kind in the history of the College.
The administration of Engr. Femi Omokungbe, Rector of the institution, approved the lecture series after considerations that Yaba College of Technology has graduated over 1000,000 Nigerians in all fields of endeavour in Technology and are making waves across the globe.
Moreso, the age of the institution has thrown up natural challenges which the College views could be resolved if all its products are brought on board and in line with the world best practices, the College management instituted the take off of the Annual Alumni Lecture Series.
The platform, the College considered would be an avenue to bring all its products to be part of her success story through a functional Alumni Body and sustenance of her heritage.
To this end, the College Inaugural Alumni Lecture Series holds on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 with the topic: Technical Education and National Development: Current and Future Trend.
The lecture is to be delivered by the former Rector of Lagos State Polytechnic and pioneering Executive Secretary of Lagos State Technical and Vocational Board, Engr. Olawumi Gasper at the College Multipurpose Hall at 11.00 a.m.
The Chairman of the Lecture is Mr. Babatunde Ojo, an alumnus of the College and Chief Executive Officer of ArchiKonsult Limited.
The College during the lecture will be honouring six distinguished alumni of the college who are Pastor Femi Martins, President, YCT Alumni Association, Mrs. Bunmi Lawson, immediate past & Pioneer Managing Director/CEO, Accion Microfinance Bank Limited, Director, EFIn A. Engr Pa John Ediale – 1947 SET, Senator Akinyelure Patrick Ayo, Founder, All Over Polytechnic – 1986 Set, Mr. Nnamdi Ezeigbo, MD/CEO; Slot Systems Limited, Arc. Babatunde Ojo, Chief Executive Officer, Arckonsult.
