We Will Not Tolerate  Godfatherism  Anymore In PDP – Faboyede

The Ondo State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Hon. Clement Faboyede Monday said members will no longer tolerate political godfatherism in the party.
The state chairman of PDP, Hon. Clement Faboyede stated this in Akure during the inaugural meeting of the party after the Supreme Court judgment, appealed to its members who are still aggrieved to return to their political fold.
Faboyede, who said the party is back to the people as stated in the constitution, noted that the umbrella is big enough to accommodate everybody.
While appealing to the aggrieved not to come with a mind to further destabilize the party as this will further affect the party in future elections.
According to him, “There is nothing we would gain from quarrelling. The PDP is a party guided by constitution; more of constitution than transition, and we are happy the crisis in the party is settled now.”
Faboyede, who averred that the state executive of the party as it is presently were elected by every member said now that the Supreme court has made its ruling, it is their duty to accommodate everybody as it was a case of no victor, no vanquished.
His words: “We don’t solve problems by creating more  problems .The factional chairman of Sheriff’s faction was a delegate in the days of our congress, and he actually nominated the current PRO of the party.
“We charted a way forward and part of it is preparing to go for our ward Congresses to elect our ward delegates on August 8 and from there, we elect our local government delegates on August 10 before we move to Abuja for the non elective convention.
“We are returning our party to the grassroots, so the party is back to the people as stated in our constitution so there is no godfatherism any longer anywhere.
“No punishment needs to be meted out to anybody; they should just return as  loyal members of the party, no punishment necessary at all. The umbrella is big enough to accommodate everybody and the PDP is a party ruled by constitution; more of constitution than transition.

“We are happy the crisis in the party is settled now. I want to appeal again to all aggrieved members to please come back home.”
