2019: Oyinlola, Mimiko Others Visit Ladoja In Ibadan

Former Governors of Osun , Ondo States, Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Dr. Olusegun Mimiko were among other prominent politicians that visited Senator Rasheed Ladoja on Monday in Ibadan.

A source said that “both visited to convince Ladoja to dump Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and team up with their respective parties.”

While Oyinlola is having sympathy for African Democratic Congress, the party supported by former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, Mimiko last week resigned his membership from PDP and returned to Labour Party, on which platform he became governor in 2009.

Ladoja had after a stakeholders meeting of PDP held last week Friday at his residence gave the national leadership of PDP seven day ultimatum to rescind its decision to alter the list of Oyo state EXCO and published the result of November 4, 2017 state congress held at the Watershed Event Centre, Ibadan.

It was gathered that the alteration made by the PDP national working committee to the Oyo State PDP executive list caused disaffection in the party.

At the time of filing this report, Oyinlola had left the meeting, leaving Mimiko behind, who was said to still be discussing with his hosts.
