“He can see with a giant vision in terms of political maneuverings. The history of Lagos State today would never be complete without Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He chart a new cause for the state, he gave a roadmap for it’s growth and development.”
The ONCWF Coordinator noted that the achievements of Tinubu was not only in the area of infrastructure but also in terms of human development capacity which has transcended from Lagos State to other South western part states as well as through out the country.
“Your excellency sir, history will forever remember you for good, that when our dear country was heading towards economic and security doom, when the country seemed towards fragmentation, you led the progressive to form the All Progressive Congress.
“It is on record that without your political Aurora, our country will still be in hands of the conservative whose arm was to milk the God given resources of the country dry.
“2015 was a year you led the progressive under the leadership of President Mohammed Buhari to lead our country and set the path for economic growth and development.”
Commending Governor Aregbesola for his laudable achievements in Osun within the space of seven years, Alhaja Ahmed said OCWF decided to honour the governor in “recognition and vote of confidence for your exemplary leadership skills and governance in the state”.
“We the Osun Concerned Women Forum salute your doggedness in managing the state as well as your leadership style. Your administration has put the interests of women in the party at heart and the state at large, this could be attested to in the composition of your cabinet both in first and second terms in office.
In his response, Senator Tinubu, who was represented by Osun state APC Secretary, Alhaji Rasaki Salisile expressed gratitude for the honour.
He pledged to continue to bring women’s issues to the front burner and press for their due place in the polity, calling for more women to indicate interest in politics and governance of the nation.
