With £6.8m Grant, UNIBEN ‘ll Be Among The Best—VC

Vice Chancellor of University of Benin, UNIBEN, Professor Faraday Orumnwense, has said the institution will become one of the best in the world in scientific and industrial research with the 6.8 million pounds research fund grant it received.

Disclosing that the university was able to achieve the feat through its partnership with Lancaster University, United Kingdom, Council for Scientific and Industrial research, he said the grant was part of a new 225 million pounds raft of investment for research challenges faced by developing nations.

His words: “UNIBEN is one of the universities across the globe that applied. We were given due to our track record.” Chairman/Coordinator, Centre for Global Eco-Innovation, UNIBEN, Professor Lawrence Ezemonye, describe the feat as award winning and assured that it will help the university improve its research activities.
