Upgrade Traditional Religion To Boost Tourism, Oyetola Charges Practitioners
Osun State governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola has charged traditional worshippers in the state to upgrade the religion appropriately to encourage tourism and hence boost the economy of the state.
Oyetola who spoke through the Supervisor for Youths, Sport and Special Needs, Comrade Biyi Odunlade at the 2019 Traditional Worshiper Prayer Service tagged: Iwure Odun at Government Secretariat, Osogbo noted that the upgrade will attract tourists as alternative means of revenue generation.
The governor maintained that, though Osun is a leading State in the uplift of the traditional religion in Nigeria, its best are not enough when compared to countries like Brazil, Cuba and America that had embraced traditional religion.
Oyetola appreciated all the members of TRWASO for the prayer (IWURE) and appealed for necessary support to achieve success.
The Agesin Adimula of Ila Orangun, Chief Fagbenle Adedayo who spoke on behalf ofTRWASO assured both the people and the Government of the State that the year 2019 will be a year of happiness, fulfilment and economic prosperity.

According to him, the Ifa Divination has pronounced Economic Prosperity and Peaceful Co-existence and Peace for Osun this year adding that  none of Its pronouncement will pass without coming to reality.

Reading from Ifa Divination called “OSEMONSA”, Chief Fagbenle disclosed that, Ifa has revealed that, in this new year 2019, Osun government will surmount all challenges and constraints and break a new ground in projects achievement and workers welfare which will lead
to the happiness of the entire people of the State.

While further assuring the government not to entertain any fear about the present financial downturn, Chief Fagbenle however warned the government not to jettison the role of traditional rulers in governance and also consider women as important stakeholders that must
be carried along at all time.

Earlier in his remarks, the Supervisor for the Ministry of Tourism, Home Affairs and Culture, Dr. Obawale Adebisi charged the Traditional Worshipers in the State to exhibit a good working relationship and support the present administration led by Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.

Dr. Obawale said, the available tourism sites in the State are enough to boost the economy of the state if well harness.

Also speaking, the Head of Service, Dr.
Olowogboyega Oyebade hinted that traditional religion worshipers in the state must work towards achieving the government target by bringing all Yoruba indigenes across the world back to their origin.

Oyebade stressed that, Memorandum of Understanding on “KARELE-ODUA” had been signed between Osun and affected Yoruba indigenes in diaspora voluntarily willing to return to their source.
