Tinubu Congratulates Sen Adeola Olamilekan On His Birthday
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu warmly has congratulated Senator Adeola Solomon Olamilekan (popularly known as “Yayi”) on his birthday today, commending his years of dedicated service to the people of Ogun and Lagos States, and to Nigeria as a whole.
Senator Olamilekan currently represents Ogun West in the 10th Senate and serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, as well as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Communication. He has had the unique distinction of representing two senatorial districts—Lagos West and Ogun West—after beginning his legislative journey in 2011 as a member of the House of Representatives for Alimosho Constituency, Lagos.
President Tinubu acknowledges Senator Olamilekan’s significant contributions to national budget management and his leadership in advancing the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He also appreciates the Senator’s democratic credentials, the constructive partnership between the Legislature and the Executive, and his commitment to promoting policies and legislation that improve the lives of Nigerians and foster national development.
“Senator Yayi, you are a dedicated public servant and a dependable political ally. Your commitment to Nigeria’s democratic development is worthy of commendation.
“On this special day, I celebrate your years of service to our nation and your contributions to the growth and development of Ogun and Lagos States, and Nigeria at large.
“Your overwhelming nomination as the APC flagbearer for the Ogun State governorship is a testament to your good works and achievements.
“I wish you more years of good health, wisdom and strength as you continue to serve your people and our dear country, Nigeria,” the President says.
