Three ABSU Medical Students Feared Dead In Crash After Induction

Three students of Medicine and Surgery at the Abia State University, Uturu, have reportedly died in a crash in the Okigwe axis of the Enugu-Umuahia Expressway.

It was learnt that the medical students were returning to Aba from the school’s induction when the incident occurred on Thursday evening.

Confirming the incident, the Abia State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Fredrick Ogiden, said officers of the corps arrived at the scene shortly after the accident, which he said involved an ash-coloured Toyota Camry.

However, an unconfirmed report claimed that some other persons were injured in the crash.

In a video circulating online, officers of the FRSC were seen at the scene of the incident while another video showed two injured persons and the corpse of a female victim in a hospital.
