Ogun TESCOM Commiserates With School Over Death Of Teachers

The Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has commiserated with the management and staff of Ajebo Community High School, Ajebo, Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area, over the death of three of their teachers, who died in a ghastly motor accident along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The Chairman of the Commission, Chief (Mrs.) Olabosipo Ogunsan, represented by Commissioner II, Alhaji Nojeem Macgregor, described the incident as tragic, praying against reoccurrence.
According to her, ‘’we received the news with rude shock. It was indeed, a great loss to TESCOM and the State at large but we pray that this terrible incident will not occur again in this school. Let us be prayerful and move closer to God at this trying period’’, she submitted.
Responding, Principal of the School, (Junior), Mrs. Stella Banjo, said the news of the death was shocking and painful, not only a loss to the school, but also to the community, appreciating the commission for showing concern over the death of the teachers, adding that it was an indication that government cares about their welfare.
Prayers were offered in Christian and Muslim ways for the repose of the souls of the dead and quick recovery for those injured.
Six teachers, while returning home after close of work, were hit by a vehicle that lost control, three of them died, while three sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
