SmartCab Set To Revolutionise Cab Services
SmartCab, a taxi hailing Technology Company said it is set to target at providing comfortable and cost effective means of transportation for Nigerians across all socio-economic status.
The company that was launched in Lagos recently has kicked off operations in Lagos, Ibadan, Benin, Port Harcourt and Abuja.
Speaking at the launch of the company, the country manager, SmartCab, Jubril Arogundade, said, “Our target is to make sure all Nigerians have access to top notch transport services while at the same time offering investors and partners an opportunity to generate revenue by joining our platform and converting their vehicles to income generating assets.
“We are an indigenous company, initiated by young Nigerians with clear goals to empower other young people within the country.”
Arogundade also disclosed that all SmartCab vehicles are equipped with Airtel enabled internet Wi-Fi as well as security utilities and insurance cover  to ensure safety and protection of drivers as well as commuters.
According to him, SmartCab is at the forefront of technology on an international level in smart mobility applications and services geared specifically towards the taxi industry. He added that app is the future taxi.
“The objective is to make public transport safer, more efficient, more ecological, and with a higher quality that is more intelligent, as well as promoting the development of research and innovation projects for the sector,” he added.
He continued, “The taxi as a metropolitan public service will take on challenges and contribute to the establishment of a system of intelligent mobility, which will sustain economic progress, improve competitiveness and offer high quality mobility services.”
