Sanwo-Olu Signs 2019 Lagos Budget

Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday, signed the state’s 2019 Appropriation Bill into law.

The Lagos 2019 budget which totals N873,532,460,725 consists of N479, 691,705 for capital expenditures and N393,841,387 for recurrent expenditures.

The capital expense takes up 45% of the budget while recurrent expense takes up 55% of the budget.

The budget signed by Sanwo-Olu was N21 bn higher than the budget proposed by ex-governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

The former governor proposed a budget of N852,316,936,483 to the State House of Assembly on February 5, 2019.
Sanwo-Olu signed three other bills alongside the appropriation bill.
