By Kazeem Tunde

To forestall the complete breakdown of law and order in the state, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has imposed a 24-hour curfew in the state.

This came few hours after hoodlums set Orile Police State on fire.

The curfew expected to take effect immediately is meant to douse tension and to prevent area boys from taking advantage of the situation.

Already, some parts of the state are a no-go area as hoodlums used the endsars protest to harass and molest passersby.

Ikorodu and Ikeja and Alagomeji areas have been turned to a no-go area from 7 pm.

Sanwo-Olu said that ‘As a government that is alive to its responsibility and has shown a commitment to the movement #EndSARS, we will not watch and allow anarchy in our state.

I therefore impose a 24 hour curfew on all parts of the state as from 4pm Tuesday. Nobody, except essential service providers and first responders must be found on the streets’
