Sales Boy Docked Over N4.9 m Theft In Osun
For alleged stealing of over #4.9m, Kehinde Adebayo, (24), was yesterday arraigned at an Osun State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ile-Ife.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to one count charge of stealing preferred against him
According to him, the defendant stole goods worth #4.946 million from the shop of one Mrs Adedoyin Seun.
He added that the offence contravened section 383 and 390(9) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.
The Defence Counsel, Mr Babatunde Akanji, however, apply for the bail of the defendant in liberal terms with the promise that his client would not jump bail, but stand his case and provide substantial sureties.
Magistrates Muhibah Olatunji granted the bail of the defendant in the sum of #2 million with two sureties in like sum.
Olatunji said that the sureties must swear to affidavit of means among other conditions as she adjourned the case until February 2, for hearing.
