Rural Roads: Ogun Distributes Graders To LGs
Ogun State Government stepped up action on its determination towards ensuring good road network in the rural areas as it handed over Ten graders equipment to Local Government and LCDAs Chairmen for the project.
Speaking at occasion, the Ogun State Governor Senator Ibikunle said the graders are crucial equipment needed for the successful completion of the project. He urged the concerned Local Government authorities to ensure they are effectively mobilised and maintained to achieve the objectives the rural infrastructural development programme of the current administration.
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Chief Mrs Yetunde Onanuga, Governor Amosun assured that his administration would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the no local government and LCDA would be marginalised in the programme which according to him is very dear to his administration.
“We are aware that most Agricultural produce comes from the rural areas, hence this makes it necessary for good accessible road, for the transportation of the products to the market, as the efforts would in no small measure add values to the citizens” He said
While explaining the distribution modality of the graders, the Governor let out that each Federal constituency in the State would be given one for grading aspect of the proposed rural road project.
According to the press officer to the Ogun State Deputy Governor, Damilola  Koleade, people in the rural areas should reciprocate the gesture of the Government in ensuring overall development in the State by paying their taxes promptly.
In their Goodwill messages, the Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Suraj  Adekunmbi said the Government of the State has always kept his promises since the inception of his administration, and expressing optimism that the Government would continue more developmental strides for the benefit of the people.
Also the Chairman of Ado-Odo LCDA, Engr. Saheed Alagbe commended the Government of Ogun State on its efforts to rebuilding the State, which he said is a good omen for the people.
