An Osun State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ile-Ife Thursday, remanded a 45-year-old man, Adebisi  Babatunde, in prison custody over alleged murder.

Attempt to take the plea of the accused person was turned down by Chief Magistrate Olukunle Owolawi who claimed that his court lacks jurisdiction to try murder case.

He therefore ordered the accused person to be remanded in Ile-Ife prison custody pending proper arraignment at the appropriate court as he adjourned the case until April 18, for mention.

Glory said that the accused unlawfully killed one Oduwole Temilola by firing her with a gun.

He added that the offence contravened sections 316 and 319 of the Criminal Code,  Laws of Osun, 2002.
