Four suspects alleged to be responsible for the killing of All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart in Lagos Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ubah, also known as Onwa were on Monday paraded by the Lagos State Commissioner of police Mr. Imohimi Edgal.

The four suspects were paraded four months after the killing at Festac Town at the State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos.

According to CP, Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ubah, aka Onwa, was shot dead at Festac Town, in Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos, inside his SUV on July 21, 2017, on the eve of the state’s council elections.

He said, “Before his assassination, Onwa was also the Head of Festac/Amuwo-Odofin Community Policing Youth Vanguard, who was seen as a police informant.

“On the day he was killed, Onwa had received a phone call from someone he allegedly knew very well requesting to meet him at a certain location within Festac Town.

“The killers riding on a motorbike had accosted him at 7th Avenue, in Festac Town, where one of them shot him at close range died on the spot”.

Edgal added that the assassins left with his mobile phones and wallet to make it look like a robbery.

The suspects identified as Michael Fashola allegedly shot Onwa dead; while Muftau Toyosi, Abidemi Kolawole, and Fatai Onifade aka Apese, were said to be a member of vigilance group in Festac Town.

The suspects told our correspondent that, “we did not plan to kill, we just wanted to harass him but Fashola shot him against our plans.
