Police Arraign 58-Year Old Man For Forgery
A 58-year-old man, Austine Adeusi, was on Wednesday arraigned before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrate Court for allegedly forging a school certificate.
Adeusi, who was standing trial on two-count charge of conspiracy and forgery at the Court, according to the police prosecutor, Inspector Johnson Okunade , was the coordinator of a satellite school, Edo State Institute of Technology and Management Study in Ado-Ekiti.
The prosecutor said he conspired with others now at large and forged a school certificate for Mrs. Osalomi Cecilia.
Okunade who told the court that the accused and others now at large committed the offence on June 9, 2017, at Okemeji Street Ado-Ekiti at about 10.00a.m said the offences contravened Section 516 (A) and 467 of the Criminal Code Cap C16 Vol.1 Laws of Ekiti State 2012.
Chief Magistrate Adesoji Adegboye granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000‎, with two sureties in like sum
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case until February 13 for mention.
