In arraigning the defendants, the prosecutor, Ogala told the court that the three defendants between 2022 and 2026, conspired with others now at large to commit the alleged offences.
Ogala specifically informed the court that the three defendants and others now at large, forged documents relating to landed property in Lafiaji, including receipts purportedly connected to the Ojomu Chieftaincy family, headed by His Royal Majesty, Oba Tijani Adetunji Akinloye.

The three defendants however denied the allegations and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Based on the defendants’ not guilty plea, the prosecutor asked for a trial date, as well urged the court to remand them in the Correctional Services’ facility.
But the defendants’ lawyer, Ayanwale, prayed the court to release the three defendants to him, while undertaken that he will ensure that the defendants appear in court till when the matter will be disposed off. Though, the application was vehemently opposed by the prosecutor
