PDP Chieftain Collapses In Osun Court

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Alhaji Fatai Diekola Oyedele on Wednesday collapsed in court in Osogbo.

The PDP chieftain defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) following his face-off with the outgoing Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

He was arrested alongside two others, Segun Adekilekun and Sikiru Lawal in Osogbo few days to the Osun governorship election rerun held on September 27, 2018 for allegedly being in possession of Permanent Voters Cards (PVC).

Oyedele, who looked frail on arrival in court collapsed after they were ushered into the dock and his colleagues rushed to assist him.

After resuscitation, Diekola was assisted to sit in the dock but Magistrate, Olusegun Ayilara, ruled that he could not take the plea of a dying person.

He thereafter adjourned the case to November 23 for plea taking.
